Why does everyone assume that just because a person is on YT they are ok? Someone would need to check this person out...what kind of vetting and care they provide for their personal pets would be the first thing.

This thread is exhausting. Everyone means well, but people seriously are making this much more difficult than it needs to be.

Unfortunately, I agree with you ladyjane & jeanm1963. This sounds so nice but the reality is IF Melody lives she will need care for YEARS after surgery. You can not count on a group of people on a forum to provide financial care for this puppy for it's life. There will be medical issues down the road - what then? No, IF Melody lives through this, she needs to either go to someone who is financially capable of caring for her -or- a rescue that will screen a new owner and make sure that they can afford her.

This is so sad, and with each passing day it's gets harder for me to think about it. Maybe the plan was to "let her go" in Krystal's care and we were just not made aware of it.

I did check out Kathleen's profile and I do believe she has "enough" on her plate right now. I'm sure she meant well and would do whatever she could to help but I think she needs to take care of her health right now.
