Please do not be disheartened but we have just seen a lot of mommy dogs die as a result of breeding, and they were dogs owned by well meaning, reputable, and caring people who thought they were doing the right thing.
It takes a special type of person to be able to breed their mommy dog and we just want you to make sure you are that type of person. We are not saying don't do it, but just educate yourself really well and fid a mentor to help you, attend a few whelpings and read a lot of books etc. It sounds like you are doing all of this and we know you will make the right decision for you and your little girl.
There are many wonderful breeders on here and some have more experience than others, but most only have the best interests of the dogs at heart and do it primarily to share the breed with others. |
