I prefer bigger Yorkies honestly! I thought I wanted a smaller one, but I can't imagine my 12lb boy being any smaller. He's perfect in every way... very durable, you can rough house, he jumps off/on furniture fine, he runs and plays with dogs of all shapes and sizes, it's less stress. I wish they would raise the standard or have different sizes. Sure, I'm not gonna be carrying him in a purse (but that was never my motive anyways) but he goes literally everywhere with me that he can. His parents were 8 and 9lbs and he surpassed them.
