When I first got Lexie I found myself at times wishing I did not have her. House breaking was a PAIN in the rear! My husband kept telling me that if I invested the time and energy in her for a few months I would be head over heels in love with her. He was right. I have had her 9 months now and she is a delight. She is housebroken, obeys for the most part (thanks Petsmart), and best of all we get each other. Having a dog is like all good relationships, it takes work. She is my buddy and I can't image life without her. If you find that you still feel that way after a few months or you resent the dog then it's time to rehome the dog. Not everybody is cut out for Yorkies and that's okay. Your goal is to either provide a good home or find one for your Yorkie.
