Usually I always wanted to keep my new furbaby a few days/weeks and thought a name would come to me. With Sophie, we were just not getting inspiration. Everything I liked, my husband didn't and vice versus. So, we pulled out my husband's book of his family tree. We went through lots of names, including "Mourning Alabama" before settling on Sophie. Yes, he really had a great aunt named Mourning Alabama.
Jacie came with his name, but it was derived from his dad was Jessie and his mom was Gracie, so......Jacie.
