I have been called judgmental and naive. Did it upset me...oh yea! I lost sleep over it. I have 'thin skin' in general. (anyone have advice for thickening it up...pm me. LOL) My point is, I could've left YT and only had bad feelings toward this site. However, my strong desire to educate myself about the breed kept me here. It didn't hurt that I was also willing to work things out with members who I had had diagreements with either. ~Amanda |
Get into enough debates and you get tough in a hurry.
There are some people who will deliberately take and twist everything a person says. So I have even gotten to the point where sometimes I put disclaimers on my posts. stating that "I did not mean this or that, I said what I meant and meant what I said. Do not twist my words,, add to them or take from them."
Some people do get downright mean occasionally, usually when they get backed into a corner and have nothing more to say. So when someone gets mean, you can figure you have won the debate, cause they have run out of things to say so they start to attack you personally.
