My cricket is 5 lbs and I took her to her vet to see if she would be large enough to have pups one day. He examined her and gave the thumbs up. He says with dogs smaller than her and even some larger, have to get c-sections if the pups are too big to deliver vaginally. Tiny puppies are also at risk of getting sick more than the standard pups he says. I would have to breed her with a stud 3-5 lbs he recomended. I can't imagine a 3 lb girl giving birth, unless the pups are really tiny?? Well as long as they are all ( including Momma) healthy. |
