I'm curious as to who says it's not worth it, and what their reasons are? I see no downside to it at all.
It is inexpensive for peace of mind, and to register it is also inexpensive. I paid $17.50 in 2007 and that's for the life of the pet. I don't know how much the actual chip is though, b/c Uni's breeder had all the pups chipped already, possibly same day as tail docking.
