Ahh! understood. Since my pups are whelped in a whelping pen....same idea as a crate......has a top, etc. So, when I transition those that I keep to crate for sleeping I've never had a problem....good to go on the first night.
But, am transitioning to a whelping crib.....I'll see if I have any problems with training them to sleep in a crate.
