Default Help with the cold

General Lee is experiencing his first REALLY cold spell. We are in the mid west and those living there are aware that we are getting hit hard. He [U]will not[U] wear a sweater, coat or anything other than his harness. When we go out he wants to play in the snow and at time is covered in snow. I noticed that he will bow up in the middle when walking on ice or snow with hard ice under it. Aside from shivering, what other signs should I look for that he is too cold or any warning signs. We go out 5-6 times a day and he never wants to come in. Any input will be appreciated.
