My dog is both paper trained and outdoor trained. If the weather is really bad, he has to go at night or when we leave him alone, he uses his papers. He will not use them more than once - likes clean papers. I never crate trained, but boxed him in the kitchen when he was small. He is almost two and still uses his papers on occasion. I never have disciplined him for doing wrong. Great praise for doing right. I feel that if they know something upsets you, then they use that against you. Since Zeke does not know that it was bad when he missed his papers or went on the floor, he does not do it when he gets mad at me. |
