If I were 9 weeks old, I wouldn't pee outside in this weather either. We got Roxy about this time last year & I wouldn't dream of taking her outside to potty then. Last winter was wicked weather in Mich. It seems our mild winter is over & temps are bitter. We used pee pads until spring. She actually did pretty good overall. It took a little effort to get her to connect with pottying outside, but a couple afternoons at doggie daycare & she got it. The whole process may have taken a little longer, but she is doing great. This past summer we installed a doggie door which she loves. It seems to really suit the independant part of her personality. Haven't had any accidents in a long time now. |
