also, i just wanted to mention that i started this topic and wanted to share this information because i couldn't find the info anywhere else. i am not by any means turning anyone against using certain company's product or promoting another. nor am i saying one thing is better for our babies than the other. i'm by no means a nutritionist. i knew this was a public forum, but i never knew the power of influence it could have. i will spare everyone the details... but please consult a nutritionist about any questions you have concerning this. i will be more careful about what i post next time. |

Are these types of posts being discouraged?
From the outset I have followed this thread with interest. While questions were clearly being raised about product quality, I never felt the credibility of a specific company was purposefully being undermined. Nor did I feel that the manner in which the questions were raised was irresponsible or irrational.
I have been feeding Raw for almost 5 months now and NV has been my brand of choice. I also saw those little "things" in the medallions and did not know what they were. It is certainly valid to question the manufacturer, and as a consumer group it is reasonable to expect a response. Learning more about their processing is of tremendous value, and certainly is helpful to those of us who are purchasing their products when other competing products are also available.
I have chosen to feed Raw for specific reasons. If the brand I've chosen does not satisfy my goals and objectives for Remy I want to know that so I can choose for myself to continue, or discontinue use.
A wide range of topics are discussed on this site, by people of varying degrees of authority.
I am not a vet, nutritionist, breeder, etc. I am, however, a pet owner who is committed to the health and well being of my Yorkie. I have also committed a great deal of time educating myself so I am a more intelligent pet owner / consumer. Like any information resource, each of us needs to evaluate on our own the validity of that which is conveyed and make our own decisions. In my opinion, learning that our ability to have a constructive, probing discussion is being impeded would begin to denigrate the value of this forum.
