I would make sure your puppy has all his shots first. Many groomers require that the dogs have certain shots before they will even schedule an appointment.
But taking your puppy in at an early age to get them used to being groomed is a good idea. I started mini-grooms (myself) with my puppies and they are at the point now where they will stand very still for me on my grooming table at only 20 weeks.
