yes, that happend to my friend last year, her havanesse showed 4 pups in ultra sound and a few weeks before she was due, she started getting smaller and loss aobut 6 onz, she ran to the vet and they did anothe ultra sound and x rays and they showed nothing, she had reabsorbed the puppies, she bred her in her next season and I helped her delivered her first litter last november, my son asked the vet at his work and she said that it happens sometimes and they don't have a good reason or explanation for it.. the only thing she said was that it also seems to happen before calcification occurs.

I'm a new pet owner (not even yet, I get her in 2 weeks lol) so excuse my limited knowledge... but how in the hell does this happen?? This is the strangest thing I have evern heard of! How does a dog just absorb her puppies back??
