I read in a Yorkie for Dummies book at Barnes and Nobles today that you can put a drop of mineral oil in the eyes before bathing and it would protect them from the irritation of shampoo. I've noticed when I bathe the Betty Boop, the "Boopster", with tearless shampoo, the whites of her eyes get red. I try to be careful, but it's inevitable that she's going to get it in her eyes.
