I don't usually mind if someone asks FIRST! What I can't stand is when people see London and think she's a Chihuahua (sp?) WHAT IN THE WORLD! Kids have actually come out their front door and yelled, "That's a cute Chihuahua" HUH???
One man pulled his truck up to the curb and said " I thought you were walking a squirrel." That was kind of funny.

If someone tries to pick her up or pet her without asking I just pick her up quickly.
Now, my daughter really HATES it when any stranger touches her dog and she says "don't touch my dog". She sounds very rude, but, hey, it's her dog.
And, really, Rory doesn't like strangers anyway so it's not like she is inviting them to pet her.
London, on the other hand, LOVES everyone (except my husband for some reason) and doesn't mind being petted. I find that unusual for a puppy mill/shelter dog but she is very curious and friendly.
I love these threads! It's so nice to know there are other crazy dog people!
