And the comments about letting people pet our dogs and it becoming a teaching experience... I agree that would be nice to do and if you can do it good for you guys. I have big germ issues and just can't.
I see peoples hands approaching and think...they just touch money, came out of a public bathroom, licked there fingers as their ice cream drips and now they are petting my sweet pea that lays on my pillow at night...and i nuzzle my face in her fur too...Now my face has been in that public bathroom who knows where, rubbed all over that money and the person with the ice cream might as well of just given me a big'ol lick across my cheek.
If someone touches my dog without fresh clean hands I would have to bath her and she hates her once a week bath as it is, any more wouldn't fair to her.
