I hope you get him. I volunteer at a shelter in Illinois and I know the screening process is pretty strict, but I think that with no small children, a yorkie owner, your BF having experience that you would be a perfect adoption candidate. I would go again tomorrow and let them see how dedicated you are to getting him and talk to the adoption counselor if possible. They really like to know that you take your current dog to the vets (some don't), you have time for the dog and that you have never given a dog up without a good reason. Just some things I have heard when they are interviewing prospective adopters where I volunteer. Keeping my fingers crossed. |
