Yes, The fat in cheese can trigger acute pancreatites.
Of course if your dog is very very healthy and with moderation and common sense, just a little tiny bit of a very low fat cheese here and there is fine.
But for yorkies just a little goes a long way.
I know at least 3 people who own yorkies and had been at the emergency hospital to treat pancreatites triggered by cheese.
We give cottage cheese, the low fat, to our nursing mommas.
The problem is the fat in the cheese.
