This is the only "sick" litter I have had.
I had a girl who needed a section 16 weeks ago and at a few weeks one of her pups got sick but with flagyl and clavamox he was all better in a few days. In the same litter a puppy got sick after a rabies shot but that was a mess I dont even want to think about. I should not have allowed the vet to give him that shot at just 1lb. I let the vet tell me it was best and I will never make that mistake again. All that said the vet has checked them ( 3 vets to be exact ) and pronounced them the picture of health.
As for this sick litter I am not sure what do other than take the best care of her that I can. I will provide her any and all vet care she needs and continue getting up with her every few hours. I don;t see that she is in pain. She loves to play but if her condition is one that will hurt her and not give her a good quality of life I will do what needs to be done for her sake.. BUT If she just needs care and feeding and love I can give her that too.
I have already decided that once all the testing is over I will look for a special adoptive family. If I can't find the right one she will stay with me for life. I brought her into this world and I am willing to take care of her for her whole life. I owe her that.
