Welcome to YT! You have come to the right place to get the answers to your questions and then some. The best advice I can give you, is to look at the different posts here. There is so much to learn about the Yorkshire Terrier including health concerns. If you will notice, there are breeders here on this site that breed for quality and not to make money. As far as leaving your little one alone while you work, I personally wouldn't but that is me. I would look into having a dog walker come in and spend some time with your little one.
