Breeders have to listen to there hearts and research alot more than people think. It is not as easy with Yorkies just putting 2 together and have a big wonderful litter. It takes time and effort. One of my mentors told me not to get in any hurry it would take me 5 years to get the right girls going. I now know that is true. Sometimes I think of just giving it up there is so much heartache that goes with it.
I wish your little one well and I will keep searching the web to see if I can come up with anything that might help you. |
It does take a long time. I had to retire my first girl I got after one litter.
I am going to retire my Sally. Hers are the 16 week old pups. But she had 6, needed a section and almost died. Her babies are very beautiful but I can't risk her health. Fossie may need to be retired as well since she is the mother of the sick baby girl....So much time, worry and heart ache and of course lots of money and sleepless nights.
I also wish I could keep one of Sally's girls but at 16 weeks and 2.3 and 2.5 lbs I don't think they will be big enough.. Worry and more worry.
Thank you for looking. Do let me know if you come up with anything. I'm going back to the vet this week. Her new symptom is troubling.
Here is a picture of one of my girls, 16 weeks. Such a pretty girl.
