Yes, My girls stay on heart Guard. No on flea control. We use frontline but not when they are expecting or nursing. If we see a flea ( or evidence of fleas )we use dawn during that time.
Cleaning on floors. We use clorox bleach 4 capfuls in the mop bucket. We also rinse and dry the floor. It does not sit wet.
We do use ant killer on any fire ant mounds. Water well and then the dogs go out in their fence for 24 hours after it is dry. We have never had any issues with these things.
No, she has not been tested for herpes. I see what you are thinking since the deaths were at 3 weeks and below. It is something I will have her tested for even though I think it very unlikely. Normally the test is not done until something like this happens.
The newborns did have pneumonia but they also had reflux.
