She first acted terrified of toys, now she just ignores them all together. I want her to play and have fun --- but its like she doesn't know how. We've tried everything. Our other little girls even try to get her to play with them -- and still, nothing. We've had her for about a month and a half so I know things are still new. But if anyone has any suggestions about how I can get her interested in toys, please let me know!

Of course this is no really big deal -- I would just like for her to know she can have fun with toys!
I too have a rescue that's been with us for three weeks. Toby is just now getting to where he will play with the toys. It will just take patience and time. I'm learning that you have to have a lot of patience with a rescue dog (he's 3 1/2) but every day he shows improvement. The housebreaking has its ups and downs and he just recently started trying to "mark" the couch in the family room (and he's neutered!) so he will be wearing a belly band when we are in the family room until he's 100% housebroke (if that ever happens). Otherwise, he will have his "pants" on when he's there. Thank you for rescuing...............you won't regret it!
