So I took Toby to the vet. He had done it again just before I took him, after he had gotten up from sleeping.

I had a few videos.

Vet looked at the first one, which was very short, and said is was definitely nasal.

He looked at another and said it was just reverse sneezing. He said something must be irritating him more than normal to cause it to be so bad today.

Toby is on NSAIDs since the Legg Perthes op, and the vet said a lot of the time dogs are allergic to them, which makes sense, and I have only really noticed it since the op. He said he maybe has a cold or something now that has increased.

Funny thing is, I hadnt given Toby his medication today. I dont like him being on painkillers, and he doesnt seem to be in any pain now, so I decided to see how he got on without them. Why would the first day without the meds trigger an allergic reaction to them?

Anyway, because he had no meds today, the vet was able to give him a steroid shot, and there have been no episodes since.
