While her albumin is 2.8 ( still within the "normal") range her vet wants her on prednisone every day for 4 weeks when she will have more blood tests.

She's not showing any significant side effects to prednisone (except constant peeing and always hungry) but am concerned that now she has to be on it each & every day.

I give her probiotics and a good formula of duck & potato food.
Any suggestions based on your hsitory will be greatly appreciated!
Thanks.
I would highly recommend a consult with a nutritionist such as Susan Davis. It sounds like if her albumin and total protein counts are decreasing that her intestines are not responding. A plasma transfusion might be of help. Is she on B12 injections as well?
