I've used Sentinel for years on 4 different dogs (1 Maltese and 3 Yorkies) and have never had a problem. They tolerate it very well. Once a month, and it also takes care of heartworm, whipworm, hookworm, and hookworm.

When I got my first Yorkie (he was my own personal rescue), he was loaded with fleas. As soon as the vet determined he didn't have a heartworm problem, I put him on the Sentinel. The fleas went away within a couple of weeks and I have never seen one since (11 years and counting).
