I was thinking the same thing about greyhounds. When walking greyhounds we would to warn each other “SMALL WHITE DOG!” … talk about trained to kill.

You could also die in a car accident or get struck by lightning tomorrow.

Sure you could stay indoors all day and have all the irrational fears you want. Perhaps you could even draw a little mustache on your top lip and have all the pitbulls of the world euthanized by perpetuating their “killer” reputation. It doesn’t effect you any, so why would you care?

I used to assist in a pitbull foster home. These dogs were not taken out of good homes with good owners. These dogs came in so terrified of people due to severe abuse that they would rather starve than step foot by a human with food. I never for a second hated these dogs; I can assure you that I have nothing but contempt for their previous owners.
It infuriates me that you could hate the breed just as racists and bigots infuriate me.
Have you ever stopped to think that by perpetuating the reputation as killers you are encouraging the “bad owners” who would want such a dog to seek one out. Do you think Mr. Thug down the street wants a soft cuddly couch potato? No, he wants a bad ass killer. But it doesn’t effect you at all….
For people that are so up in arms about Puppy Mills you have no problem looking the other way when the dog isn’t so “cute”.

And as for Caesar, some like him and some don’t. I do not have cable so I have only seen a couple of shows online. I have not seen any of this Victoria lady’s show. Either way these two people are bringing together pets with owners that are on the edge of giving up. I can’t condemn either for that.

A member was simply sharing something she thought was positive such as the rescue of Miss Georgia Peach. I have never seen such belittling and condescending behavior towards another member on this site as I have read in this tread.

This may have been one of those occasions where “if you don’t have anything nice to say….”
