Benalyn is a cough medicine here in the UK.
I was speaking to the vet over the phone, but will take him in later as he needs his checkup from the op anyway.

He is back to normal now, but I dont think the problem has gone away.
It is more of a nasal sound, or from the back of the throat rather than chesty or coughing. I just didnt describe it well to the vet. THe vet did mention kennel cough as well.
