Default How long can an episode of reverse sneezing last?

When Millie was alive she would have had reverse sneezing, I would calm her down, rub her throat and it would stop after maybe a minute.

Toby has something that sounds very similar, but it lasted about 20 mins, with a few wee pauses during it. I tried rubbing his throat but it didnt help. Toby would be easily panicked so maybe he couldnt relax enough to allow it to stop? It also caused him to wretch a bit (nothing came up). He is fine and lying sleeping now.

Or could it be something else?

I rang the vet and they said:
Broncitis or cough, give benalyn
Collapsed trachea, not likely, as never wears collars
Heart & chest problems, not likely due to his age.

Have to monitor and take him in if it progresses.

Can reverse sneezing last about 20 minutes?

The other thing is that these wee episodes (others werent as long) probably only started happening since his op a few weeks ago. Could his throat still be sore or damaged from the tube?
