Personally, I buy a set of ceramic bowls, that come in a black stand, from Ross for $5.00 --- they come in several different colors. I have about 4 sets and we just put down a new set of bowls for each kid every day - wash the others out - and then put them in the dishwasher.
Here's a different style of water holder. It is more expensive but I like that shape because there's not so many places to get dirt and dust in. Living in the desert - everything gets dusty!!!
I also like the idea of a glass water bottle.
