Get to vet ASAP!
It may be nothing, I pray it is.
But Maddie had this problem and it was not nothing. What started out as conjunctivitis, quickly turned to an ulcer. Then she developed extreme dry eye. Now she uses lubricating drops 6-8 times a day b/c her tear duct stopped working, if she ever had one...
I was with a vet who did not do a thorough enough exam to diagnose the problem and we messed aroud for about 4 weeks on different meds. only treating conjunctivitis. Finally switched to an incredible vet who treated the ulcer and sent us to an ophthamologist. We have been on several prescriptions and now looking at a surgery that only MAY fix the problem.
Sorry to seem so paranoid, but I learned the hard way, eyes can quickly become BIG problems.
Good luck and I'm praying it's no biggy.
