Well....Wrapping a coat is done primarily when you plan to show your yorkie in the ring. I have 5 yorkies however I only wrap the coats on the males that I hope to show. It is very time consuming and takes total commitment. Even when I'm tired or sick, wrapping the coat every few days is very important to prevent matting. I change the top knot every single day. The work on thier coat is rewarding when I see them with it down and groomed. My girls are beautiful and have long coats but it breaks around the face from chewing and eating. The rest of the coat also breaks some however they are still beautiful and I adore them all.
