I'm agreeing with many others here about poodles being smart and easy to train. We have four toy dogs, two yorkies, and two fosters that came here and never left, one is a Papillon, the other is a poodle. Of the four dogs, Louis, the poodle is by far the most intelligent when it came to house training. He practically trained himself. He's also the easiest to groom, even when it comes to shaving his face, he stays perfectly still for me.
