A good time to clip the nails is right after a bath. You can wrap him in a towel and just expose one paw at a time. Maybe try getting him used to doing it that way, if he senses that you are afraid to hurt him, he will act afraid too. They are very intuitive that way. I had one who was resistant for awhile, and I did this, and only did a couple nails at a time, (and then a couple more the next day, etc) and gave a treat each time.

Was it always this way, or were you able to clip his nails before without any resistance?
