Our puppy is almost 6 months old, suddenly he is becoming so frightened of getting his nails clipped and he's also afraid of the scissors/clippers when I try to trim him. He shakes and runs to hide. I try to hold him down to cut his nails but I cant hold him still enough and I am afraid to hurt him. He only weighs 4 pds. I dont know if I am making it worse by trying to hold him down ( I dont want to traumitize him, or am I letting him get the upper hand? The vet says he his being a big baby?? What am I suppose to do, he scratches us so badly, they really do need to be cut. Any suggestions?? Oh and we have never cut a nail and made him bleed.
