I have seen on Victoria Stillwell's show that she used a black light to see urine stains on carpet. Does this really work? Is there a "special" black light? When I came home today, I thought I detected the smell of urine in my bedroom. My carpet is rather dark and sort of multi color so if there was a stain, it wouldn't show up like on a light color carpet. I went out and purchased a blacklight light bulb and put it in a lamp and held it close to the floor, but all it seemed to do was make the carpet look maroon. If there was urine there, would it "glow" or am I using the wrong kind of light? Thanks.
