labor can last up to about 8 hours (once the water has broke) without harm to the babies (proving there is no pup stuck in the canal). Make sure your mom is not in heavy labor, she should be calm, sleeping in between all should be fine.. If she is in heavy labor and still no pups (panting heavy and throwing her head back) use your own judgement you know your girl. Dont hesitate to call your vet!
