We camp in an RV so the issue of an escape is pretty rare, I think that camping in a tent may be a bit more challenging (squeezing thru zippers, etc.). We take our stroller which is the ATV type and use it a lot when we take long hikes. We use a "burley" behind our bicycles when we go bike riding.
One thing that I strongly suggest is SOCIALIZE your dogs. Yorkies attract lots of other campers.... I love meeting new people, but it really helps that my dogs are friendly. ALSO, there are many other dog owners that camp with their dogs.... don't assume that they are all responsible. There is always the "big dog" owner that don't understand why his Great Dane can't play with your Yorkie....... it is the "he wouldn't hurt a flea" syndrome. Beware of these people!!! It could be fatal if you are too trusting. I just politely say "sorry", I would rather not.
Camping is a blast....... we love it!!! Shelby & Seymour have a "camping bag" and when they see it ........... you should see their excitment!!!

Thanks alot! I thought the "he wouldn't hurt a flea" syndrome was funny, but I know what you mean. My babies are super friendly...TOO friendly so I guess I don't need to worry about that? Shelby and Seymore sounds SUPER PAMPERED and ADORABLE!
