I have a 12 and a 13 yr. old Yorkie and I don't consider them 'old' knowing that with good care they could possibly live to 17/18 yrs. old. IMO if there is a way to give your furbaby a good quality of life with meds or whatever, then go for it. My 12 yr. old Yorkie has a pancreatic disease (EPI) but with meds and careful care she is happy and has a good quality of life. As long as her eyes are bright I will fight for her health.
