 Reaction to Shot
Maddie had her 2nd set of shots this morning and after we got home, she had a reaction. She was crying and rubbing her face in her blanket. I called the vet back and she told me to bring her in. They gave her Benadryl and had me wait with her so she could check her again. She was fine after that. I brought her home and she slept for a little while. She is now acting the same again. She is miserable and it is killing me to see her like this. Her little mouth is slightly swollen also and she is just crying and looking at me. She can't be still either. She tries to lay down and rest but can't be still. I've tried the vet's emergency number but have not got a call back yet. Is it safe to give her children's Benadryl? Just a small dose? |
