You shouldn't use kitty litter! If he eats it, it can be a very serious problem!

I use the box with pads inside. fold it in half and put it in there, then flip over when needed. I started out with a box in every bathroom. Now she just has one. Uni started out with coming home and peeing in the box downstairs, then running upstairs and pooping in the upstairs one.

Also keep doors closed to all the bedrooms. When I was training Uni, if I found an accident, even after the fact, I still took her too it, and told her no, and brought her to the pad. i don't really understand why so many people say not to punish if you don't catch them in the act. They know they did it. They know their smell. Also watch the body language, if they put the head down, ears back,, they know they did something wrong. They get it.
