I have had up to 4 yorkies at one time some that were fostered for a long time so they were mine and I had other dogs as well. I have since placed a dog or two, lost to illness another and now I am down to 2 yorkies and an older mix dog and a whippet. After spending much time on YT I have desided that I would much rather have few dogs and spoil them more than they are already. I feel bad for those that I can not take with me and I don't always feel they all get the attention they deserve and then there is the vet bills. It is wonderful to have dogs to love but it is much easier to have fewer so they can all be a part of everything that I do... camping, biking, going to a friends house, going on walks. It is less competeion for them and I think they are happier. I know my household has been much more relaxed since nature took it's course. I think it is much more rewarding. I have had it both ways and less is what I am ready for. That is my opininon. |
