I will greet people coming in to the store and I will hear people whisper among themselves: "Why is that little girl talking to us?" This is a daily occurence!
"Wow, how old are you?"
"Umm.. I'm 18."
"You don't look a day over 12."
People keep telling me that one day I will appreciate it..
I am still waiting for that day!
But just like your senior discount..

I used to have the same problem, I had to go to the doctors at 21 due to stiff swollen fingers, he thought I was developing juvanile arthritus, he thought I was 12. At 19 we went on holiday and I went with my sister to the bar to help carry drinks and nearly got thrown out. It was annoying because I always found even those who knew me and my correct age still treated me like a kid when around others when they assumed I was younger. Didn't mind getting the half price child fare on public transport. I'm 42 now so fortunately look old enough to be taken seriously.
