Default I am so shook!

Today when I came home on my lunch hour, I saw this note hanging on our door saying that our phone company tree trimmers would be in our area. The last time our electric company trimmed a tree...they slaughtered it! I am still so upset over what they did to that beautiful tree! Anyway, I immediately called the number on the note and told them I am very concerned about any trimming being done on my trees. Then I saw the truck up the street, so walked up to talk to them. They told me they would take as little off as possible and that they don't slaughter trees, but this has been eating away at me all day, so I made up signs to put in my yard in hopes of getting their attention tomorrow when they come into my yard. I have to work, so I can't be here. The last time I was out of town and came home to that ridiculous, pitiful tree. They are all going to think I'm a crazy woman by the time this is over, but I just don't want anyone messing up my trees! I love my yard...except for the ugly mountain pine, and I want to keep it that way! Here's pics of the mountain pine, before and after. I hope they just decide not to mess with me and leave! *Nervous Laugh*

Here's what the signs say...only they are in very large fonts!

Notice Klimple Tree Service

I left a message on your answering machine yesterday and also talked with two of your workers regarding trimming trees in my yard. I was told you would take as little as possible off my trees. I am sure that you will, but since talking to them, I went out and looked at my trees. I was figuring that you would only take off the east side where the power lines are, and now I’m concerned you may trim on the west side of the trees because there is a phone line going to the neighbors across our yard. Do not do any trimming on the west side of our trees, or the south or north. If SRT doesn’t like it, tell them to reroute the line, but they are not allowed to touch those areas of the trees. The evergreen trees will never grow branches back once cut and also, this is not the proper time of year to trim evergreens. That should happen in the early Spring. These are old trees and subject to disease if traumatized.

I do not wish to have ANY pruning of my trees. I was told once, by a tree trimmer, that evergreens don’t cause damage to the wires. They are very gentle on the wires which shows by these trees having never caused damage in any sort of storm. I want to note that the phone line going to our neighbors was down during the October 5th storm, but it was not our trees that took it down, but the neighbors. I do not want to notice anything missing from my trees when viewing them from my home! Also, if any trimming is to be done, I would prefer myself or my husband to be present, which wouldn’t be possible until Tuesday, November 15th.

Thank you for your attention to this matter,

Connie
