House training is something I am anal about. Excuse the pun. This is what I do. As I go along, I bell train. (They ring a bell hung on the door to go outside). When I get a new puppy, they are crate trained. I take them out every time they come out of their crate, right after any feeding, and if they have been out of thier crate with family for a while I take them out every 30 min. to 1 hour. If they are out of their crate, I never take my eyes off them and when we go out I watch them until they go! Period. This way I know what is going on and what time frame to expect. Everyone in my house is expected to follow the same plan. If they cannot watch the puppy in training, then they are not to be out of the crate, period. The thing to remember is consistency and learning to know your dog, and their habits. I can tell by my puppies behavior early on if they need to go out, and if they need to poop or pee. They act different. Oh, and don't give your puppy full run of the house until she learns. Keep her confined to her crate, or a room at a time with a pet gate until she masters letting you know. Good luck!
