I read lots of books about yorkies before I got Louis, and they all said that yorkies are hard to potty train. Louis was VERY easy. He was potty trained by the time he was 16 weeks old. (He uses the potty outside, we never used pee pads.) I took him outside about every hour. I didn't wait for him to tell me he had to go. I had to constantly watch him, and whenever he would show signs that he had to go potty, I would hurry up and take him outside. He has been 100% house trained (with no accidents) since he was 16 weeks old.

Also, make sure you really clean the spots on your carpet when your dog has used the bathroom. I have heard that natures miracle works. Good luck!
