Thanks Hillies and Sweet Apple. I'm so glad I have people to talk to about these things, otherwise the vet would be answering 50 different phone calls from me, LOL. I mean some of this is basic stuff, they should have whole guideline sheets with this kind of information on it, like them looking skinny and possibly not eating (they only say don't make them eat until late at night or the next morning, not that they probably won't accept it the first night).
We tried ice chips and she didn't want that, either. She didn't have any teeth extractions, I don't think she was quite that bad it was more like she got there just in time to get deep cleaned to prevent some kinda infections where she'd need extracting. I'm so glad they were willing to work with us, I just knew she needed help with her teeth. I think God or someone must really be on her side. She soooo deserves it. Maybe her breath will smell better now, though =x I'm gonna try my best to brush her teeth. I had tried before and she hated it but we got the front.
Do you guys use any special treats (like greenies though greenies are too expensive for me) to help with clean teeth? Someone suggested baby carrots, I'm going to try those but would like some more suggestions?
The skinny thing still bugs me, though. She felt skinny to begin with but she eats every day so I'm not sure why. I forgot to ask them how much she weighed. |
