I wanted to speak from the "alternate" perspective for a second. Before I had a dog...let alone a Yorkie, I never understood how people could invest so much emotion in a silly pet. When we got our dog, I understood 100%. People that don't have a dog will never understand the value. People that have big dogs will never understand the joy of a Yorkie. For example, I was spending the weekend at a friend's house a couple days ago. They had some beautiful Labs that were awesome! The female actually spent the night on my bed. I showed them a couple of videos on my phone of Buddy. The first thing I heard was..."that is not a dog". It is all about perspective. Screw 'em if they don't know. That is my opinion! |
